I’m often asked “how can I get into queer porn”? Well, here’s some opportunities! A while ago I wrote the blog post “Getting into Porn, the Queer Way” with tips for people interested in applying to porn work. Looking back on it, I still think it’s pretty relevant! Give it a read if it’s your first time thinking about getting into porn performance.

Ready to apply? Here are some upcoming/ongoing opportunities that are either local to San Francisco or specifically open to queer performers.

CrashPadSeries.com
Shine Louise Houston’s queer website based on The Crash Pad, where almost anything goes! Perfect for couples looking to shoot porn together. I’ve shot with them a bunch and always have a great time. (Sign up to see Behind the Scenes videos and hear why the models decided to do porn, and what they thought about the experience.)

Handbasket Productions
Tobi Hill-Meyer, director of  “Doing It For Ourselves: Transwomen Porn Project” is at it again and is looking for queers (especially trans women) up in Portland. The deadline has passed, however it never hurts to send an application.

HeavenlySpire.com
Shine Louise Houston’s film project looks at masculine sexuality! Heavenly Spire is not hiring any more performers at this time but may in the future.

Kink.com
Some of the sites run by Kink.com hire new performers if they present as femme cisgender women (mostly submissive), and dominant trans women.
My personal preference are sites run by queer directors Princess Donna (WiredPussy.com and PublicDisgrace.com and Tomcat (FuckingMachines.com and TSSeduction.com).  I know some queers who do their cam shows as well.

Mandy Mitchell

OTHER OPPORTUNITIES:

YOU! We’re queer, we’re here, we Do Things Ourselves. We’re resourceful, and creative and think outside the box. There’s lots of technology out there available to new producers and there’s many ways queer performers can find opportunities to make money having sex on film. Try webcam, create your own videos, approach directors about upcoming projects.

Please let me know if there are more production companies that are specifically welcoming to queer porn performers — I’ll add them!
