I’m a proud contributor to a beautiful and brilliant new art and culture book SOUVENIR by illustrator Ian Bruce aka RubiCANE.

From Fox and Squirrel:

SOUVENIR is a limited edition book of 150 copies, numbered & signed by the artist himself, hard back & silk bound. This collection of delicate pornographic drawings by the artist RubiCane are colour printed onto uncoated paper accompanied by text printed onto tracing paper. This exquisite artist’s book will be launched on the 14th February. Fox&Squirrel is the sole online distributor so make sure you get your copy soon!

For the last year and a half, under the name RubiCANE, Ian Bruce has been drawing pornography in all it’s diversity. RubiCANE has represented a broad range of sexual practise, sexuality and physicality in his drawings from Japanese tentacle erotica to disabled porn, from BDSM to scally porn. The delicately executed imagery appear on hotel stationary and postcards or in the form of stencils and crayon on cartridge paper.

This has culminated in a silk bound limited edition book entitled SOUVENIR for which he’s invited twenty contributors to write short passages in the form of poems, discourses, short stories, confessions, instructions and lists. A number of these exceptionally talented writers work in the porn industry either as actors or directors and are able to give honest firsthand accounts and insights.

Through the exhibition and book sales funds will be raised for an extraordinary charity called Outsiders; an organisation that does invaluable work to recognise the sexual needs of disabled people.

I love the use of tracing paper to produce a transparent layer of words over images, and I can’t wait to get my copy! Awesome-r still, is the fact that 10% of the sales of book and drawings will be donated to Outsiders; an organization that does invaluable work to recognise the sexual needs of disabled people.

The exhibition of drawings runs February 15th to March 15th 2012 at The Society Club 12 Ingestre Place, Soho London, W1F OJF.
