Remember the blog I wrote back in… April… about the lack of Asian Men (and to be specific, straight Asian American men) in porn? Well, I interviewed Jeffery Lei, director of the ‘documentary’ Dick Ho: Asian Male Pornstar and it was picked up by Good Vibes Magazine. It’s the lead article on their site, so go check it out!

I wrote another article that takes a broader look at what else is out there… you know, because it’s almost 2009 for shit sakes and there’s still not that much representation in porn. So look forward to that post. Thanks Dick for the Interview!

I’m so glad you wrote this! To be quite [sheepishly] honest, I had no idea when you first blogged about “Dick Ho” that it wasn’t a real documentary. Luckily I didn’t make some foolish attempt to prove that Asian male porn stars exist by dropping that name
As always, very interesting, and cool to see the filmmaker’s perspective. I really need to watch this.
Also, just big congrats on getting this intereview published, especially as a lead article!

Fascinating photoshopping of He Chong. It’s borderline funny/offensive and makes me want to create some images of my own. That’d be a novel art project idea — recreating images of sexual representation through cheap photoshop edits of found images. Anyone up for the challenge? I should hold a contest or something.
