Getting Into Queer Porn
So you wanna be a pornstar?
I hope you do!
A friend of mine recently asked me about good companies to work for. She’s a smart, cute dyke with a sexy streak of exhibitionism so I think she’ll do well. She bought me a drink and I spouted off a small handful of companies located in the Bay Area currently hiring queers. Afterward, I thought I’d post them here. You might want to know about them. The world might. And, hey, if you know about a local paying company that I should know about, don’t be shy and share the news. Here’s what I had to recommend to her.
1. Pink & White Productions hires year-round for their online website CrashPadSeries.com. And, no, it’s not just for female-bodied, women-identified queers. Folks of all kinds of identities under the shade of the queer umbrella are welcome to apply to model for this site. And they’re proud to pay a consistent flat rate for the site which is higher than any other queer-ran company website. The next full-length feature Champion is due in January. Tip: applying to model for the website is a great way to get your foot in the door to work on future films with Pink & White Productions, founded by award-winning director Shine Louise Houston.
2. Madison Young is a director who won a Feminist Porn Award for her film Bondage Boob Tube. She’s been making several films that are due to be out any week now. They’re distributed under Abigail Productions, and are ‘lesbian’ in theme which includes femmes and sometimes boyish folks like me and Shawn. She’s based in San Francisco Bay Area and you can contact her through her bondage website, MadisonBound.com.
3. NoFauxxx.com is a queer and genderfuck D.I.Y. website run by pornstar Trouble Royale. The site is mostly photography, though more and more videos (which have a music video feel to them) are being uploaded as the site is being redeveloped.
4. RedHandedPorn.com is also Bay Area based. This site features masturbation solo scenes, with extensive interviews of the models. They have a preference of wanting to attract models who are other than straight dudes, and seem to be a good fit with trans guys.
5. Kink.com is the San Francisco United States WORLD renown BDSM and Fetish website. They have a number of sites that are specific to various kinks and activities. You like electro-play? Check out Wired Pussy. You like naked wrestling? Check out Ultimate Surrender. They are absolutely fantastic people, who love their job and treat their models really really really well! The only downside is that there’s a particular aesthetic to the site which is pretty gendered. (Ask me why I haven’t been on the site, and this is why.) You’ve got to shave your armpits and crotch, and I haven’t seen a transguy model yet. However if you’re a hot shaved femme who wants to get kinky, I couldn’t recommend this site more. Same is true for any of you bio-dudes looking to do some sub work. Model Page –>If you are seriously considering their model application, let me know via a comment — you can get in touch with Syd who’s working with model referrals that can add an extra bonus to your application. : )
6. Trannywood Pictures is the go-to place for trans guy pornstars. Particularly GAY and bi/pan sexual transguys. If you want to shoot with other transfolk or bio-men, this company is the place for you! Their videos are sold all over and they were recently nominated for a GayVN Award.
7. You ready for this? S.I.R. Productions is going to make another dyke film. Fans might remember their first features back in the early nineties with “Hard Love & How to Fuck in High Heels” and “Sugar High Glitter City”. They’re currently interviewing models (Shar says they’re specifically looking for more femmes but don’t let that hold you back from applying.) They only have a myspace page, but give them love: myspace.com/sir_productions. Tell them you heard the news from Jiz!
Wouldn’t this list would be great if it went to ten? Anyone have three more queer-friendly porno sites that are based in the San Francisco Bay Area to shout out? Anyone submitting to the Good Vibrations 3rd Annual Erotic Film Competition [deadline Sept 25] and are thinking about hiring some queer models?

I wish I could add more, but you’ve hit all the ones I know! Although, is Redhandedporn.com still alive or planning to make a comeback? Every time I check the site, their last video was in January and it hasn’t been updated since 🙁

You’re right! Bootz from RHP said that the site is left online as an archive — they do have a TON of photos and videos. Bummer!

Oh that’s too bad about Redhandedporn….I never joined, but I’ve pointed many folks to it, and know many folks who have done it…including Crashpadseries and Trannywood guy, Dorian.
Thanks for the listing….you always make me smile, and blush more than a little.

Just an update, I’m not sure what’s going on with SIR Productions, but there’s a Lesbian Pornographer who is working in NYC on a film called Taxi. Also, there are two fantastic Transwomen doing projects – I’ll keep you updated when they start to cast!

Who is this Syd, and how might I come into contact with them, please? =D

Hi Rose!
Unfortunately I believe kink.com has stopped doing referral bonuses for models. (It was a program started to help models recruit one another to the websites.)
Anyway, best of luck!
